Adrianna bit into her soggy peanut butter and jelly sandwich with a fervor. Coffee could only stave off the hunger for so long, and she felt well within her rights to finally break her fast. Thank god she had made the sandwich last night, if not, she'd probably be eating break room trail mix for the 3rd time this month. Her Leo pager chimed loudly, causing her to almost choke on the last bite she had taken. Are they testing it again? I thought I told them to knock it off when they know my lunch is sacred. she thought. Looking at its small screen, it announced something unexpected: October 17th? Who sent me something when I crashed my car? she thought, reading the message as it scrolled by. It clicked, That must've been the demonstration message they used for the presentation. I guess the guy's name Naledi. she posited, wiping her hands on a napkin. Adrianna swiveled her chair to her computer and opened up the site Randy had made to collect Leo messages, it looked similar enough to email that she didn't have to scramble to find the message. She typed out a quick 'Thank you Naledi!' something that would be easy to show off, and clicked 'Reply'. A spinner popped up for a few seconds, then the lights quickly dimmed and the pitch of the noise in the room lowered a semitone before reverting back to normal. Swiveling back to the workbench she promptly shifted focus back to her lunch.
